Did we mention we are perfectly located to reach both the northern and southern shores of Port Stephens? And right on the Karuah River, so you can even bring your boat, launch at the nearby town boat ramp and head out by the water to explore. But if you prefer to explore by land, here’s some great suggestions that will take you all around our beautiful natural bay.
Our lovely local community has all the necessities for you to stock up your supplies for your stay, including a handful of food options. But the most popular meal option would be our local Karuah RSL Club. Their Chinese-Australian Bridgeview Restaurant serves lunch and dinner 7 days a week and they offer a courtesy bus to and from the park from 5pm each day.
Just a short drive will bring you to the popular coastal towns on the northern side of the bay. Here you will find spectacular beaches for swimming and fishing, great bushwalking and you might even stumble across an ice-cream shop or two!
The very popular and busy Nelson Bay is always good for a visit, whether you are checking out the boats at the marina, planning a fish and chip lunch or heading up Mt Tomoree for the fantastic views. Head a little further south and discover the Anna Bay and the Stockton Dunes, where you can explore on a camel on the beach, or an exciting ATV tour through the dunes, followed by sandboarding down the slopes!
